What does Low Gluten mean?

In New Zealand the regulations state that products are low gluten if they have less than 20 parts per million (ppm). This differs to the UK where gluten free can be claimed at the same level. Therefore we market all our drinks with less than 20ppm as low gluten.

Can I get drunk drinking your drinks?

No! The amount of alcohol contained in a non-alcoholic drink is so low that it's simply not possible to consume enough liquid to the point where you feel intoxicated.

Can I drink your drinks if I'm driving, pregnant, breastfeeding or have been advised to avoid alcohol?

Yes! Our drinks contain up to 0.5% alcohol, similar to ripe fruit or juice. Research shows that it has no impact on the body and is fully fine in view of driving, pregnancy, an intolerance due to medication or health reasons. Please seek advice from your doctor if you're unsure.

A tasty alternative to alcohol

This product is not alcohol and its not meant to act like alcohol. People should realise this before writing such negative reviews. As someone that has recently decided to not drink alcohol I found this drink really tasty and enjoyable. Definitely gave me a feeling of having a drink to relax. I have mine with diet Bundaberg Ginger Beer and its a lovely deep warming flavour. It is also very low in calories so combined with Diet Ginger Beer, the overall calorie intake is low. My only complaint is it is very expensive, I would buy more, and more frequently if the price was lower. It has just gone up another $10 per bottle as well, so it makes it out of reach for lots of people.

Does make you feel relaxed, doesn’t make you feel drunk!

It does make you feel more relaxed, but it’s not going to make you feel like you’ve been drinking. if you like bitter sweet taste. It’s for you. like. negroni. otherwise it’s not going to work. i prefer it with tonic.

as for GABA. on the Sentra website it states “ GABA Spirits are designed to increase the effectiveness of the calming effects GABA provides. GABA Spirits do not raise your GABA levels, nor do they contain GABA itself as an active ingredient. We don’t use GABA as an active ingredient because ingested GABA cannot pass from your bloodstream through what’s known as the blood brain barrier (BBB), and then on into your brain. Instead GABA Spirits contain active ingredients that can pass the BBB and modulate the effectiveness of the GABA that’s already there.“

FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Claiming to be the worlds first 'GABA Spirit' yet doesn't actually contain GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric acid). GABA is a chemical messenger in the brain that slows down nerve transmission - giving you that "two drink feel" as advertised. It is no wonder people aren't experiencing that feeling. To add insult to injury...the taste.
